The benefits of choosing luxury bedding

The best part of the 5-star hotel experience is sleeping. Soft down pillows, high thread count sheets made from Egyptian cotton and luscious bedding allow for the sweetest of dreams. Yet, many people opt for cheaper bedding made from manufactured fabrics like polyester in their home. While the desire not to splurge is understandable, cheaper options can be harmful to your health and the value of your house.

The health and comfort factor

Hot nights in Southeast Asia are nothing new. And while air conditioners do make sleeping far more bearable, there are still those times when they aren’t quite powerful enough to combat the heat. This is when bedding created from man-made fabrics is the worst. It can be itchy, uncomfortable and even leave you covered in rashes. It can also increase your body temperature, undoubtedly the last thing you want when it’s already hot. Luxury linens made from cotton or silk have none of these issues.

Even if the temperature in the bedroom is comfortable, synthetic pillows and pillowcases can still disrupt sleep. In a clinical study conducted by Italian researchers in 2011, it was found that people using pillows and pillowcases made from non-natural materials were more likely to suffer from headaches and sinus problems.

Improve the value

If you’re selling a residential property or looking to rent it out, luxury bedding can make a big difference. When a person gazes into a bedroom, the bed is the first thing they see, and, if we’re being honest, they will rush to touch the bedding and maybe even lay down on it. Nice silk bedding leaves a lasting impression that inexpensive polyester can’t compare to. While it may seem small, you’d be surprised how much moments like this matter to potential buyers or renters.

Choosing the right luxury bedding brand

Not all luxury bedding is created equal. One of the most popular brands is Italian-based Frette, a company that employs only the finest fibres and most skilled artisans to create its linens and home furnishings. Its most recent release was the Juliette collection. This limited edition set features designs inspired from an extraordinary silk fabric embroidered in China during the late 19th century and found recently in France.

In Vietnam, Frette is distributed by Eurasia Concept. They have an exclusive showroom in Ho Chi Minh City. You can find more information at www.eurasia-concept.com
