You don’t need plenty of space to have a ton of storage solutions.
As urbanisation in Vietnam is on the up, more people are flocking to the city for work and need somewhere to live. We may be living in smaller spaces however this does not mean that we have to compromise on limiting our belongings at home but considering using these storage solutions.
1. Look under your bed.
The space under your bed is the ideal place to store a suitcase or even to fit a set of drawers should you be lacking in a chest of drawers. Choose a bed that has plenty of space underneath for you to utilise this space or buy a bed that has built in storage features.
2. Order your shoes.
Invest in a shoe rack to keep in top of your mountain of shoes. There are a variety of options available on the market to suit the space you have to save you having to climb over them as you leave the house.
3. Utilise the space in your bathroom.
If your sink sits on a pedestal and is surrounded with lots of empty space, fit shelves or build a cabinet around it to store your toiletries. Fit a towel rail to store your towels, and choose a mirror that doubles up as a cabinet. All these options will give you that added bit of storage in what is the usually the smallest room of the property.
4. Invest in some shelves.
Where there is a wall, there is space for shelves. They provide a practical way to store items and can also become a feature too if you arrange them in a certain fashion. Go one step further and group books together in the same colour of their spine to make a real impact to the look of a bookshelf. Put them in the kitchen, in the hallway or even consider a bed with a wide bedhead for your to place your books and alarm clock on.
