2017 welcomes new interior trends

Fashions change and tastes alter so make sure your property is looking its best with these 2017 interior design trends.

Even in a buoyant market it pays to have your property looking at its best. A well presented property will generate more interest and warrant an even higher price tag. So consider these trends that are expected to be all the rage in 2017 to make sure your home is comfortable to enjoy or if you are looking to sell or rent, will set it aside from the rest of the competition market.

1. Ultimate comfort.

In 2017 your home is not only your castle but also your retreat from the constant stream of information that we are subjected to in today’s digital age. Create relaxing zones in your home with lots of comfy cushions to sink into with luxe fabrics that will entice you and make you not want to leave. Minimalist is certainly not the case for this trend so go overboard!

2. Five-star bed heads.

Pick an upholstered bed head to make your bedroom look like it is fresh out of the latest interior design magazine. Common in boutique hotels across the world, it is easy to create this look at home and being just a bed head, you can affix this to any bed base without having to buy a whole new frame.

3. Go green.

Not referring to just plants and greenery but the actual shade too! The deeper the shade the better but as green is versatile and also works well with grey which will retain its status as the must have colour. Pick a green sofa, paint a wall green or just dot splashes of green accessories around the room.

4. Go shiny.

Special attention has been given to metals over the last few years from the shade and colour of taps and door handles. But in 2017 metallics will start marking an appearance in soft furnishings through fabrics with threads of metals woven through. This is one trend that can be as subtle or a full on as you wish.
