Spatial development zoning of Phu Quoc city is divided into 13 development areas, including: Duong Dong, Bai Truong, Bai Ong Lang-Ca Can, Bai Vong, Bai Sao, An Thoi, Vinh Dam, Bai Khem and Mui Ong Team, coastal areas in the East, North, Northwest, Nam An Thoi archipelago, Tho Chu island area (Tho Chau commune).

In the field of transportation, upgrading and renovating Phu Quoc International Airport to 2030 has a capacity of 10 million passengers/year, after 2030 it will be 18 million passengers/year.

The seaport welcomes international passenger ships of up to 225,000 GT, general ships of up to 30,000 tons and the ports of An Thoi, Vinh Dam, Bai Vong, Mui Dat Do welcome ships of up to 3,000 tons combined with passenger wharfs, sea ferries, and cruise terminals. boats serve the socio-economic development of Phu Quoc city.
